New Jersey State Government Contracts
- Quick Response
- Thorough Documentation
- Highly Trained and Certified
- Personal Attention
NetQ Multimedia has been providing structured cabling installation and design services since 1985. We started out as a subcontractor to several computer resellers under the original New Jersey Mini-Micro term contract that was in place for almost two decades. Back then, we incorporated our business as Network Cabling Inc. From there, our company grew – we were awarded our own state contract vehicle and listed as a dealer for Samsung, and even changed our business name to NetQ Multimedia Company. Because of these decades of experience, we know what it takes to work with government agencies and departments in New Jersey.
Quick Response
As a seasoned statewide contractor, we have strategically located our office in central New Jersey, providing access to all major highways and allowing us to dispatch our staff to the farthest points of the state in the shortest amount of time. We have also distributed our service vehicles to the North and South and our technicians take them home allowing for the closest tech to reach the site as quickly as possible. This quick response is a big part of why we are awarded many of our New Jersey state government contracts for fiber optic cable installation and other services.
Thorough Documentation
Documentation and record keeping is another of the areas that we will add value to in the State’s structured cabling infrastructure. We have been adding to our library of floorplans and As-Built drawings of all of our installations for over 20 years. We have clearly documented almost every cable installed at most of our customer’s sites. This often becomes invaluable when troubleshooting, installing additional cabling, or upgrading the electronics at one of these sites. We also have test results for every cable we install, allowing us to go back and compare, review, or investigate changes in the cabling system after years of being installed. This through documentation allows us to quickly assist the agency with diagnostic services, locating the problem and repairing it quickly. It’s also a huge part of our success with our New Jersey state government contracts.
A perfect example of the importance of record keeping recently came to light after superstorm Sandy hit the Jersey Coast. We were called by the Telecommunications Staff at NJDEP to look into telephone problems at Island Beach State Park. The storm had corroded many of the connections and destroyed equipment all along the 10 mile stretch of the island. Since NetQ Multimedia installed over 7 miles of 200pr cabling on the Island a few years ago, our knowledge and documentation was put to use to restore services to the Coast Guard buildings and Governor’s Summer House, and other support facilities on the island. This same good record keeping could easily be used to restore services after any catastrophic event, natural or otherwise.
Highly Trained and Certified
As New Jersey’s state requirements have changed over the years, our company has changed with them. We have certifications for many different cabling solutions such as fiber optic cable installation, and have varied manufacturer relationships as required. Our manufacturer’s certifications allow us to provide extended warranties for each type of cabling program for anywhere from 5 to 25 years. We also have all the required qualifications to do New Jersey state government contract work which allows us to work for Government and Educational customers, this includes:
- eRate (spin #143014796)
- DPMC (C120,C121,C122)

- SBE (57898-20)
- Public Works Contractor

Personal Attention
We provide direct access to the project staff for each account with a single point of contact, and cell phone numbers are given to the client as well as direct email. We still feel that providing personal involvement with our accounts is better than the big corporate approach. Nobody gets put on hold for more than a few seconds if they choose to call the office 800 number. We encourage our staff to return voicemails the same day or no later than the next business day. Our office staff is well versed in managing Municipal, County, and State Purchase Vouchers and VCard transactions, as well as Cooperative Purchasing. We also work with their Purchasing Department to make sure they know what Commodity Code and State Contract is to be used, this makes the process much faster so the End User can get the services they need to keep their agency running smoothly.
Many of our skilled IBEW Union Technicians are provided with a Service Vehicle outfitted with all the materials and all the sophisticated test equipment necessary to perform whatever services our customers need to install, diagnose or repair all the Structured Cabling components required to make their systems function properly, most times without a second trip.
Besides having vehicles with ladders, cable handling equipment, and standard tools, we have high-end equipment for certifying Copper and Fiber Optic cabling to the industry standards, allowing applications assurance for all current technologies. This includes OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), Fluke DTX 1800 Cable certification units, Fiber Optic Fusion Splicers, Mobile Splicing Lab, Underground/conduit Video inspection systems, and other equipment specifically designed for cable placement, splicing, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation relating to fiber optic cable installation and other cabling services.
